Russell Hardin author's photo

Russell Hardin is currently a professor of political science at NYU. He edited the journal Ethics (University of Chicago) for a decade. He has been a distinguished professor at both Stanford and NYU. He has authored eight books on ethics and social theory, published by the university presses of Oxford, Princeton, Johns Hopkins, and the University of Chicago. He was a Rhodes Scholar, a Guggenheim Fellow, and he has been honored by the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the American Association for the Advancement of Sciences. Hardin's Collective Action (John Hopkins U.) has sold in excess of 25,000 copies. Hardin is also the author of a collection of short stories, What We Go By, and a comic novella, Perhaps It Was Never the Same, both published in the 1970s.
