Mary Carolyn Hollers George author's photo

Mary Carolyn Hollers George is a cultural historian, much of whose work has focused on the architectural history of Texas and Mexico, and on the conservation of that legacy. She is the author of O'Neil Ford: Architect, a "copiously detailed" biography of the important San Antonio architect and conservationist. Her other works include Mary Bonner: Impressions of a Printmaker, Alfred Giles: An English Architect in Texas and Mexico, and The Architectural Legacy of Alfred Giles: Selected Restorations.

Mrs. George taught courses on the history of art and art appreciation at San Antonio College for over 25 years. A long-time neighbor and close friend of the Rosengren family, she was a regular patron of Rosengren's Books for decades.
