Celeste Guzmán
Celeste Guzmán's poetry has appeared in regional literary magazines, in This Promiscuous Light: Young Women Poets of San Antonio (1996) and ¡Floricanto Sí! A Collection of Latina Poetry (Penguin, 1998). She graduated in 1997 with a double major in English and Theater from Barnard College in New York, where she studied playwriting with Steve Friedman. A Barnard Centennial Scholar and the winner of the 1995 National Hispanic Scholarship, Guzmán's first play, Burnt Sienna, won the 1996 American College Theater Festival's Ten Minute Play Award. She currently works as an actress and grants writer in San Antonio.
